Description

1. Single panel wall system(Recommended for internal walls)

  1. The single panel system consists of a panel that is 40mm thick and when plastered both outside and inside gives a finished wall thickness of 80mm.
  2. The wall height of 2700mm achieved by fixing 5 panels (540mm high) and 1 truss infill panel (450mm high) one on top of the other to support column.
  3. Each panel is 540mm high and with the truss infill panel an overall height of 3150mm is achieved allowing for ceiling height of 2600mm and 150mm for closing space between the roof sheets and the wall plate .i.e ceiling level. Care should be taken when ordering the roof trusses that they do not exceed 40mm in width. Height of truss and purlin at the junction of the wall plate should be 150mm
  4. The columns are steel tube 40mm x 40mm 2.0mm with an expanded metal mesh welded to the outer face to accommodate the concrete panels and allow bonding of the plaster finish to the steel column. The columns are fixed to the raft foundation with 2 off – M10 x 100mm express anchors.
  5. The panels are fixed to the column by mean of M10 bolts and nuts and custom made mounting plates which are used to lock the panels into place by means of posilock ‘V’ system.
  6. A 150mm wide chicken mesh is fixed internally across the column joint from the floor to ceiling height to avoid cracking and increase bonding thus ensuring continuity of the plaster.
  7. Windows and doors are bolted into position and precast concrete infill is fixed to internal surface to plastering.
  8. Gable ends of the roof are closed using 9mm thick Nutec composite boards in either sheet form or in a Vermont finish

2. Double panel wall system with thermal insulation(Recommended for external walls)

  1. The double panel system consists of two panels that are 40mm thick with a 100mm void in the middle so that when plastered both outside and inside gives a finished wall thickness of 210mm
  2. The wall height of 3000mm is achieved by fixing 5 pairs of panel’s (540mm high) and two truss infill panels(450mm high) to steel support columns.
  3. Each panel is 540mm high for ceiling height of 2600mm and 150mm for closing the space in achieved allowing for ceiling height of 2600mm and 150mm for closing the space between the roof sheets and the wall plates i.e. ceiling level. Care should be taken when order the roof trusses that they do not exceed 40mm in width. Height of truss and purlin of the wall plate should be 150mm
    1. The columns are steel tube 40mm x 40mm x 2.0mm with an expanded metal mesh welded to the outer face to accommodate the concrete panels and allow for bonding of the plaster finish to the face of steel column. The columns are fixed to the raft foundation with 2 off – M10 x 100mm express anchors.
  4. The panels are fixed to the columns by means of M8 bolts and buts and custom made mounting plates which are used to lock the panels into place by means of posilock ‘V’ system.
  5. A 150mm wide chicken mesh is fixed internally across the column joint from floor to ceiling height to ensure continuity of the plaster.
  6. Windows and doors are bolted into position and precast concrete infill is fixed to the internal surface prior to plastering.
  7. Gable ends of the roof are closed using 10mm thick MGO composite boards in either sheet form or in Vermont finish.

Note:
All external panels are fitted first and then the mechanical services such as electrical and plumbing are incorporated in the void section prior to installation of the thermal insulation. After installation of the mechanical services and insulation, the internal wall panels are fitted. It is recommended that all openings for plug points, sockets, airbricks etc. Should be cut away from the building to avoid unnecessary dust in the working area. It is not a requirement that polystyrene panels are used as the insulation medium. As an alternative, recycled plastic insulation can be used (e.g. Isotherm 50mm thick)
